Product Development / Customer and Partner Portals
Customer and partner portals for the agentic era
More of the work your partners and customers do in a portal will soon be done by agents acting for them. A portal for this era works for people and their agents alike, runs on your rules, and belongs to you.
We build platforms our clients own, with an agentically enabled software delivery model.
Talk to us about your portalThe portal is where your rules live
A customer and partner portal looks like a website, but most of its value sits in the rules behind it. Who can order on whose behalf. Which price applies to which account. Which partner gets credit for a sale. When a deal is big enough that a person should take it from there.
Those rules are specific to how you sell, and they're the part a packaged portal asks you to bend to fit its defaults. Once agents start showing up, they're also the part that has to be written down precisely, because an agent can only follow rules it can read.
What changes when the visitor is an agent
Portals have always been about delegation. A partner acts for a customer. An admin acts for their organization. A rep steps in when self-service runs out. An agent acting for a person is one more delegate, and the portal has to tell all of them apart.
Identity that understands delegation
Organizations, roles and delegated admins, with every action tied to the person who took it or the agent acting for them, and each agent limited to what it was given.
Actions an agent can call
Ordering, renewing, asking for help and inviting a colleague exposed as well-described, permissioned interfaces, so an agent runs through the same rules a person does instead of scraping screens.
A person where judgment counts
Clear lines between what an agent can finish on its own and what goes to someone on your team, with a record of every step either of them took.
Sovereign by design
Agents need scoped access to your data and your functions, and a platform you don't control often won't let them have it. That's why we build platforms our clients own.
- No lock-in. We use an open source model so our clients aren't locked into vendor contracts that might not serve them in the long term, or that gate or limit data critical to their business operations.
- Your code and your data. We build platforms our clients own, on infrastructure they control, and they can move to another host or self-host at any time.
- Proven open-source components. The platform we build on is Kubernetes-based and assembled from open-source parts, including Postgres for data, Ory for identity and access, and Temporal for long-running workflows.
- Your systems of record stay in charge. Your ERP, CRM and support desk remain authoritative. The portal works through their APIs rather than copying their data into a new master.
- Your release cycle. Once a platform is built agentically, there's little value in riding someone else's release cycle and migrating to features other customers asked for.
How we build it
We don't sell an off-the-shelf portal. We're an agentic development consultancy with an agentically enabled software delivery model, which is what lets a custom build compete with a packaged one on time and cost.
- Working software in weeks. We put working software in front of your team (and perhaps select trusted partners and customers) early and refine it with them. We ship working software in weeks, not months.
- One audience at a time. The first audience gets a working portal, and each one after it builds on the same foundation.
- A small team, with agents throughout. A product lead, a platform engineer and product engineers work with agents throughout, so what we deliver with speed also meets exacting standards for quality, reliability, safety and control.
