Reporting to the Head of Talent, the role of Talent Acquisition Specialist will involve leading parts of our recruiting efforts as we go through an aggressive growth plan. It’s a hands on role where you’ll be running end to end recruiting, working closely with hiring managers and also help us re-invent our recruiting processes.
This opportunity will start as a contract (length to be determined) with the potential to either extend, or be converted to a full time member of the team.

You’ll be a part of a small impactful team - including helping guide decisions on culture, succession planning and how we scale our teams as we grow
Process and Programmes - improving how we will go out and hire the best folks in Canada and our internal process for vetting candidates
Details About Your Role
Full end to end recruiting - you’re responsible for deeply understanding the roles that you’re working on and working on it from job description creation, to sourcing, to interviewing and closing candidates
On a quarterly basis, looking at programs we can launch or improvements we can make to our recruiting processes
Provide expert advice to Hiring Managers on Talent & Recruiting
Look at and implement programs to strengthen our: pipeline development, quality of hire, decrease time to hire, and increase employer branding
In the first 90 days, we’d like you to learn our business, understand our culture and philosophy and fill a few roles in a specific area
What You Bring To The Team
Senior level expertise and credible experience with IT recruiting
A passion and deep interest in the growing tech industry
Classically trained Headhunter - a knack for hands-on sourcing to fill specialized roles
Been a lead on end to end recruiting - working very closely with hiring managers
Experience working on a variety of roles and business areas
A consultative approach to looking at how we hire and recruit talent - really understanding the objectives of a role and what we need to hire for
Experienced problem solver and ability to reinvent oneself - We are always looking at ways we can do things better, sometimes there is no path to follow
Great interpersonal skills - we are a close knit team and work together to solve problems
Proactive and self starter - we hire folks that have a deep desire to do better and be better, you won’t be micromanaged in this role - we expect you to take full ownership of your area and come up with plans that you’ll execute on
