Community & Events Manager - 12 Month Contract

The Community & Events Manager at Rangle oversees the in-person and online events strategy and execution, engaging with the local tech community to deliver value, and build brand awareness and market eminence globally. The Manager delivers on events annually in North America and in Europe. The goal of these events are to establish and maintain a brand presence in our community to retain talent and build the sales pipeline to acquire new customers. To that end, the Manager will execute community-based events and business development events in partnership with our sales team. The role requires a collaborative self-starter who has a healthy appetite for feedback and thrives in high-pressure situations. Creative, thoughtful and analytical, the Community & Events Manager reports to the Head of Marketing and understands how to advocate for Rangle’s values and create strategic activities to reflect them.

Details About The Role

  • Negotiate with event organizers to establish the best possible positioning for Rangle and ensure a great experience for event attendees
  • Create and oversee the overall business development and community events strategy 
  • Lead end-to-end event strategy, including planning and logistics, marketing, follow-up and success tracking
  • Oversee the day-to-day execution of meetups, conference sponsorships, and other events, ensuring the projects are delivered successfully and on time and budget
  • Define event objectives, manage individual event budget and deliver post-event reporting and ROI
  • Maintain the integrity of Rangle values throughout the execution of event and community strategy
  • Provide consistent and clear communication of events program to all stakeholders, including ownership of internal briefing documents
  • Oversee the creation of events assets in collaboration with the Social Media Manager and Senior Graphic Designer 
  • Be a positive champion for internal and external events; Gain buy-in from Ranglers at all levels
  • Identify engagement opportunities across all channels
  • Encourage creativity and connectivity with the community to identify opportunities to work with organizations at the community level
  • Work with internal and external teams and stakeholders to project manage and deliver on activations
  • Gain buy-in from leadership on event strategies

What You’ll Bring To The Team

  • 5-7 years of experience in event organization, specifically planning B2B events
  • Degree in Event Management, Business, Marketing, or Communications preferred
  • Excellent organizational, prioritization skills and very strong attention to detail
  • Demonstrated interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to gain buy-in across departments and levels; Experienced in presenting to senior leadership teams
  • Demonstrated decision making and negotiation skills; Ability to give and receive criticism with empathy
  • Able to problem-solve for at-risk projects; Demonstrate thought leadership in community and events programming
  • Proactive self-starter; Ability to work individually and with a team
  • Flexible, adaptable, with experience working in an Agile environment
