As an Agile Quality Manager, your expertise will help Rangle’s clients align their people, processes, and technology to build digital products with a bias for action; leveraging strategy to improve efficiency. Agile Quality Coaches possess strong agile consulting and quality coaching skill sets. You will be responsible for working with clients to assess their current quality strategy, digital delivery capabilities, and support the development of a strong quality community of practice with a bias for experimentation; leveraging metrics to improve efficacy. From a quality coach perspective, you will also need to coach client quality practitioners in growing in their role, leveraging agile quality best practices, tools, and industry trends to help clients Building things that work with a bias for innovation; leveraging verification and validation methods to improve product viability.


This crucial work will take two forms:


Creating Agile Quality Coaching Strategy:

The Agile Quality Coach is responsible for assessing the quality specification, development and delivery practices and quality frameworks of an organization to identify areas of opportunity for improvement. A successful candidate in this role will partner with clients to identify immediately actionable opportunities as well as strategic approaches to accelerate digital delivery.  


Implementing Agile Quality Methodology:

This role also includes providing guidance and client consultations, as well as implementing changes to the digital delivery process, principles and practices across multiple levels and departments within the organization. The Agile Quality Coach must use techniques that increase collaboration, predictability, and transparency and promote a culture of experimentation, innovation, transparency, and trust. Leveraging their experience of working with a wide variety of clients across multiple industries, the Agile Quality Coach will work directly with teams to implement quality delivery changes and coach both quality practitioners and delivery stakeholders throughout. The Agile Quality Coach must embody the Agile principles, support LEAN product development, and lead by example.

Responsibilities

  • Lead with proven quality techniques, frameworks, and experience to identify what makes quality a critical aspect of digital delivery, and how an organization would action towards achieving that goal

  • Lead end to end “shift left” quality initiatives from a risk/benefit perspective, defining future-state quality targets and partnering with cross-functional stakeholders to build digital delivery pipelines

  • Understand and empathize with current traditional delivery (waterfall) state and clearly articulate benefits that help guide the transition to an agile digital delivery model

  • Teach, develop, and reinforce good agile quality practices through workshops, observations of team meetings, and one-on-one personal coaching sessions with client quality practitioners and communities of practice

  • Champion cross-functional team ownership of quality, coaching developers to be more collaborative in testing with quality practitioners, and coaching quality practitioners to be more collaborative and vocal in the team (e.g. for work estimation, working closely with dev, avoiding true hand-offs, etc.) in order to deliver vertically sliced value to market in each sprint.

  • Provide recommendations on approaches scaling the quality community of practice within scaled agile frameworks

  • Ability to travel at least 50% of the time on current and future engagements
